History & Roadmap

From idea to infra. From one onchain casino experiment to a self custodial network for permissionless, decentralized gambling and real money applications.

2018–2021 · Early experiments

The first goal was simple: build a casino where games, odds, and payouts live in smart contracts. No custody, no manual payouts, no hidden odds.

Early versions on Tron and then Polygon went live and taught us the limits of that stack. Transactions were slow, fees were unstable, there was no reliable onchain RNG, and the bankroll still sat in a centralized backend.

The main result from these years: one app is not enough. The market needs shared bankroll and randomness that any iGaming or real money frontend can plug into. That idea becomes the base for WINR Protocol.

2022 · Foundation of WINR Protocol

In 2022 we set up WINR Protocol as a separate infrastructure project for onchain iGaming and real money apps.

Core contracts moved to Arbitrum for cheaper and faster settlement. The first decentralized WLP style bankroll went live as counterparty to all bets. TVL reached low 7 figures and LPs started to earn from real house edge.

This was the first real version of WINR as a neutral bankroll and incentive layer.

2023–2024 · Live infra with real users

The focus in this phase was clear: prove that the engine can handle real users, real volume, and different products.

Key steps and traction:

  • JustBet testnet launched as an ownerless, fully onchain real money app with no KYC and no custodial balances

  • WINR public sale on Camelot raised $2.8M and the first gWLP pool peaked around $4.7M TVL

  • WINR Protocol mainnet and JustBet v1 went live with core games, WLP staking, and fully onchain roulette backed by the decentralized bankroll

  • DegensBet, a high leverage perp product, launched on the same infra, which proved the bankroll could support more than one product line

  • WINR VRF went live as the randomness engine

  • Smart wallets and account abstraction enabled one click, gas free play

In 2024 we pushed the stack further:

  • First fully onchain blackjack and hold’em poker launched on WINR tech

  • Over $1M worth of rewards were distributed to players and LPs

  • WINR received its first CEX listing and was bridged to Solana via Wormhole

  • JustBet v2 alone passed around $90M onchain volume.

  • The first Unity based slot, WINR Bonanza, went live fully onchain

  • WINR Chain, a Layer 3 on Arbitrum Orbit, launched as a testbed for gasless UX, auto bet tools, and higher throughput for WINR powered apps

By the end of 2024, WINR was clearly seen as Bankroll + Oracle + Proof infra, with JustBet as the main but separate reference app built on top. Total volume across WINR powered products passed $150M+.

2025 · Hardening infra and preparing creators

In 2025 the focus moved to making WINR feel like a serious product stack for operators and future creators, not a one off casino backend.

Cross chain deposits and withdrawals from major EVM chains and Solana started to route into the same WINR powered bankroll and smart wallet system. Liquidity moved into clearer tranches with stricter risk limits and cleaner net profit share for LPs, so the bankroll became a stronger onchain yield source.

Backend and data systems were upgraded for speed, stability, and real time stats. Spins became faster and edge cases were auto refunded. UX moved closer to tier one Web2 while staying fully onchain.

An internal AI Slot Builder and creation pipeline were built and used to ship multiple AI made games on JustBet. This system stayed internal and became the base for the future public Creator Studio.

As of end-2025, WINR powered apps processed $250M+ in volume from 40K+ unique wallets.

2026 · Creator stack and permissionless gambling (planned)

The goal for this phase is to move from a single team building games to a permissionless network of creators on shared infra.

Planned direction:

  • The internal AI builder becomes a public Creator Studio that anyone can use to design and launch real money games through simple flows and prompts, with parameters kept inside safe ranges

  • A new JustBet experience goes live as the first Creator Casino built fully on WINR, where most new titles come from external creators

  • A shared creator catalog appears at protocol level, so any iGaming or real money app that integrates WINR can list creator games and route volume to them

  • Where it fits, WINR also builds bridges for existing content providers so classic games can settle onchain against WINR Bankroll without giving up custody

The target is to move from one internal content team to hundreds of active creators, all using the same WINR liquidity and randomness.

2027 and beyond · Multi operator, multi creator network (planned)

The long term direction is to make WINR the standard infra for permissionless decentralized gambling and real money apps.

Planned focus:

  • New casinos, gaming, trading style products, and other real money frontends connect to WINR Bankroll, VRF, and Proof and plug into the shared creator catalog instead of building closed stacks

  • Creator games can be listed on JustBet and on other WINR powered apps at the same time, with volume, risk, and revenue tracked at protocol level
