FAQ
The community’s questions
1. What are Pack shares, Bought shares and units? Pack shares come from card packs. Bought shares are bought with WINR, or are Pack shares after an upgrade. Both earn from the game’s 20% weekly pool. Units are the 10,000 pieces a game gets when it graduates; they trade on the game’s market. Every word is defined under “Words we use” on the Game Markets page.
2. If I hold 100,000 or 850,000 shares, what stays in the 20% pool and what could become units? If you do nothing, all of them stay in the 20% pool: Keep is the default. If you choose Convert, your Bought shares reserve 1 unit each, only while the game’s 3,000 early units last, and one player can reserve at most 1,000 per game. So at most 1,000 of your shares can become units, fewer if others reserved first. Every other share stays an earning share in the 20% pool. Example: a player holds 850,000 Bought shares and converts while 1,500 early units are left. They reserve 1,000 units, and their other 849,000 shares stay in the pool.
3. How many units would I actually get, and what would I pay per unit? 1 unit per share you convert or upgrade, as long as early units are left when you choose, and at most 1,000 per game. Converting costs nothing more. Upgrading costs half the auction minimum per unit, per share, so that is your price per unit: exactly half of what an auction buyer pays at the minimum. Example: a game with $3,000 of revenue in 30 days has an auction minimum of $273 for 3,000 units ($0.091 a unit), so an upgrade costs $0.0455 a share. In the opening auction everyone pays the same price: total bids ÷ units on offer.
4. What do “owners” or “holders” count? Distinct accounts. One account counts once per game, however many shares or units it holds.
5. Why can a Pack-share total on a page differ from one player’s holding? Each counter counts what its own page says it counts. A game page’s Holders counts accounts holding that game’s shares, and Shares circulating counts that game’s shares held by all players. The auction page counts only the Bought shares counted at the notice. My shares counts only your account. Counts are per game and per account, and they are being reconciled. If a number looks wrong, tell @WINRintern.
6. What qualifies a game for graduation? Its lifetime net revenue (bets minus wins) reaches the game’s bar. The creator’s own bets don’t count. Games that pass then wait in the queue, ranked by their last 30 days of revenue.
7. How do original Game Shares differ from Game Markets units? Game Shares (Pack shares and Bought shares) earn from the game’s 20% weekly pool and don’t trade. Units exist only after a game graduates: 10,000 per game, traded on the game’s market, earning their share of 5% of the game’s revenue (paid by the house) plus 20% of trading fees, and unlocking over time. A share becomes a unit only if its holder chooses Convert or upgrades, while early units last.
8. Can creators refuse? Creator choice is being finalised; until it is, nothing about a creator’s game changes without notice.
Keep, Convert and Upgrade
Do I need to do anything? No. Keep is the default. Your shares stay shares and keep earning.
Can I change my choice? Yes, until the game’s shares are counted. Choosing Keep releases any units you reserved.
What if the early units run out? Then Convert and Upgrade reserve no more units for that game. Your shares stay earning shares in the 20% pool.
Why do Pack upgrades have a fee? An upgrade takes a unit that would otherwise be sold in the opening auction, so it costs exactly half of what an auction buyer pays for that unit at the auction’s minimum. The WINR paid is burned.
How are the auction minimum and the upgrade price worked out? From the game’s last 30 days of revenue (bets minus wins, with the creator’s own bets and house accounts left out): weekly revenue = 30-day revenue ÷ 30 × 7; unit floor = 26 × (5% × weekly revenue ÷ 10,000); auction minimum = $100 or the unit floor × the units on auction, whichever is higher; upgrade price = the auction minimum ÷ the units on auction ÷ 2. It is the same rule for every game, and it is locked when the game’s notice or auction starts. See The opening auction.
What happened to the first six games? Their auctions and notices were ended as an operator reset. Every bid was refunded in full, and nobody lost anything. The choice window is open now, until the restart on Thu 22 Oct 2026 at 15:00 UTC. Then the queue restarts: the top 3 games open 72-hour auctions and the next 3 start a 3-day notice. See The life of a game market.
Can I sell my shares? No. Game shares (Pack shares and Bought shares) earn from the 20% weekly pool and don’t trade; units trade on the game’s market after graduation.
Auctions
How is the price decided? Total bids ÷ units on offer. Everyone who wins pays that same price.
What’s the least and most I can bid? From $1, up to $500 per auction. Each auction is capped at $5,000; above that, units are shared in proportion and the rest is refunded.
What if the auction doesn’t reach its minimum? The minimum is $100 or the unit floor × the units on offer, whichever is higher. Below it, every bid is refunded in full, and the game tries again later.
Why can’t I bid? Your account needs at least $50 wagered in real-money bets on JustBet, in any currency (WINR, USD or USDC, each at its USD value on the day of the bet). Bets placed with bonus funds don’t count. There is no account-age rule.
Market and earnings
When can I sell units? Auction units: all of them 14 days after the market opens. Early units: after 30 days, then 5% a week. Creator units: after 30 days, then 2% a week. Units bought on the market: anytime.
What do units earn? Their share of 5% of the game’s revenue (paid by the house) plus 20% of trading fees, every week. Locked units earn too.
Why did I get nothing this week? The game paid out more than it took in that week. Look at more than one week.

Can the rules change? Any change is announced at least 14 days ahead and never applies to anything already done.
