Risks and important notes

Please read this before you bid, buy, convert or upgrade.

  • Prices can go down. A unit can be worth less tomorrow than what you paid today.
  • Payouts can go down or be zero. They follow the game’s real results, week by week.
  • WINR’s price moves. Prices shown in USD change when WINR’s price changes.
  • Early units are first come. When a game’s 3,000 are reserved, Convert and Upgrade give no more units for it. One player can reserve at most 1,000 per game.
  • Converting is a choice. Converted shares leave the 20% pool and become units. Kept shares stay in the pool.
  • The auction minimum follows past revenue. It is worked out from the last 30 days and says nothing about what a game will earn next.
  • Shares don’t trade. Game shares (Pack shares and Bought shares) earn from the 20% weekly pool and don’t trade; units trade on the game’s market after graduation.
  • Locked units can’t be sold until they unlock.
  • Markets can be quiet. Selling a large amount may take time or move the price.
  • Auctions can fail. If the minimum isn’t reached, everyone is refunded.
  • Rules can change, with notice. Any change is announced at least 14 days ahead, never applies to anything already done, and is listed in the change log on the Game Markets page.
  • Only use money you’re comfortable with.

Game Markets doesn’t promise any income. Every rule is public and the same for everyone.
