Unlocks: when you can sell
Early units, auction units and creator units unlock over time after the market opens. Units you buy on the market are never locked.
| Units from | Locked for | Then unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Early units | 30 days | 5% a week |
| Opening auction | 14 days | all at once |
| Creator | 30 days | 2% a week |
| Bought on the market | not locked | sell anytime |
- Locked units still earn every week.
- In a market’s first 6 months, a weekly unlock step for early or creator units (after the first) waits while the market’s 7-day median price is below its opening price.
- For a market’s first 150 days, selling unlocked early, auction and creator units shares a daily sell allowance of about 2% of the units the pool started with. Units bought on the market are never limited by it.
Example
Player A won 750 units in the auction.
- Days 1–14: all 750 locked, all earning.
- Day 14: all 750 unlock.
If Player A also buys 200 units on the market, those 200 can be sold anytime.
Why locks?
Without them, the biggest holders could sell everything on day one and crash the price before anyone else can react. Locks keep every unit selling into a working market.
Your locks and dates are in My shares and on the market page under Unlocks.
